Yesterday morning was terrible!

My first class of the new term starts at 7am. The first class is always very important because it is the first meeting between students and faculty, and we elect a class president.

I’m very timid, so I didn't dare volunteer to be the class president. But somehow my best friend, Lily, nominated me for the position. So for the past two years, I've been in this grueling ministry.

It's a bit wordy, but that's the point of the first lesson of the new term. I know that too, and I'd set a clamshell alarm that calls me up early to swim to school. But it broke last night while I was sleeping. And then whatever comes will come, I woke up late.

I got up at 6:45 a.m., and it was really late (I usually get up at 5:30 a.m. to cook, do makeup, have breakfast and get ready for school, my school is quite far from home so it usually takes me 20 up to 30 minutes to arrive). I secretly blamed myself for watching movies too late. I immediately grabbed my schoolbag and swam fast and took a shortcut to get to school as fast as I could. I won't tell you that I left my student card at home. But that was not the worst.

Because I just moved to Pearl City to facilitate going to Pearity University of Technology and Social Development, I still can't memorize all the roads here (Yes, I was afraid to go out for the past 2 years, I lurk around the house every day to program and play games, sometimes I go out but I'm led by Lily and Hela, so it's easy for me to lose my way if no one guides me, except for the way from home to school ) I swam very fast in a straight line that I assumed would lead to the school (there's a rule about height limits for mermaids, so I can't swim up high and determine direction.)

After just 10 minutes of swimming, I entered the back door of Clamy Park, which is relatively close to my school. "Why didn't I think of this path in the first time?" I thought to myself, and immediately I had my answer. A warning sign was covered by the tentacles of some animal. And I was immediately bound by those tentacles.They put my shirt and dress off. They weren't too painful, but they were slippery and started to play with my sensitive areas. I was afraid to blush and couldn't resist, my arms and tail couldn't move. I cried for help but it was still very small. Fortunately, a security guard nearby saw me and removed the tentacles for me. I was embarrassed and said thank you, but I kept my head down. He advised me and said goodbye. As I reassured myself, I glanced at my phone and it was 7:05 a.m.

"Oh no!", I immediately swam to school. When I got to the school gate, I realized I didn't have my student card with me. I thought it fell somewhere when I was attacked by those tentacles. I went back and asked the security guard to look for help, but to no avail. It took me a whole morning to find it, and I accepted the fact that I couldn't go to the first class (I texted the lecturer asking for sick leave, maybe she understood). When I gave up hope and went home, the student card on the desk caught my eye. I didn't know what to say, maybe I'm too careless, or I'm just too unlucky. I put my bag aside and collapsed on the bed. I always hope that I would make new friends in the new semesters, but in the end I was too shy, so I only had a few friends, of which Lily and Hela were friends since high school. I'm off school today, I don't know what people think of me?
