Description
This is actually a photo manipulation of an already well known screen for Final Fantasy XIII. All rights of that screen shot belong to Square-Enix, etc. This work came along when I was playing around Photoshop, hoping to make FF XIII's character, Lightning, a little more detailed and realistic looking.Don't get me wrong, I love Final Fantasy, but sometimes their characters are so flawless in appearance they appear kind of fake. So I added shadows, circles under the eyes, hoping to make Lightning's face expression look a little more dynamic. My end result ended up being what I had envisioned a grown-up Sherry Birkin to look like, a character from the Resident Evil game series. Turning Lightning's pink hair into blonde hair was a finishing touch for the daughter of William Birkin.
She didn't show up in Resident Evil 5 like we all thought, but who knows what she'll look like if she appears in RE6.

she does look alot more like Sherry Birkin. But she's my favorite character in Resident Evil 2 because Claire and Sherry treated each other like they were sisters.

You would think that within a ten year gap between RE2 and RE5 they would have met at some point, but it's not like Capcom will ever take the time to clarify little things like that. As it is, they never did clear up the whole "Ada gave Wesker a fake plaga sample" thing. How did end up actually getting Las Plagas by RE5 if she gave him a fake one? Did he end up killing her as a result of her betrayal?
And of course, back to the question at hand... What DID happen to Sherry?

but hay we play it (partly because of the story) but mostly coz we can kill horde after horde of mindless Infected.

Hrm I think the hair would be more straight and not as dynamically cut as Lightning's, but the face and eyes remind me of Sherry.

Do you really think that Sherry would turn out that hot? i think, personally, that she would've been traumatized by the game's events and turned being like the Cat Lady from The Simpsons. And I agree that IF 5 was the last game, they'd need more effort from the others (Especially Ada Wong). But I disagree with Outbreak failing, and for one reason: it gives fans the chance to create their own semi-canon fan-fictions with their OC's. Also, the 'total' reboot thing is a load of BS. Las Plagas haven't been stopped entirely, and Degeneration puts the 'T' Virus back into play, unless people only see it as a side-story. There's my 2 cents.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that she didn't show up. The trailers showing the blonde damsel in distress who shortly thereafter becomes plaga-infected really threw me off. Though, I think a reboot is probably what the series needs to keep things fresh. Still, I wouldn't mind old-school spin offs in between.

Haha ah yeah. Capcom for the most part, let a pretty good plot element and twist slip out of their fingers and went for something more predictable (using a primary character seen twice in the standard games alone already.)
But yeah, after this time, a reboot with new story and characters might be what the series needs. Everything is just too overplayed, and to be honest, RE3 was the first sign that the game was started to rely too heavily on fan service. (reusing Raccoon City as the main setting). Maybe Im wrong haha, but hey, busting zombie ass has never been any less fun! I wish they wouldnt have wasted too much effort on the crappy spin offs and such like Outbreak (which had great potential, but didnt succeed, and also is no longer live), and things like Survivor. Ew lol.
In terms of the reboot, its too bad it ended the way it did in 5. The ending was too cliche, short, and if thats the last time theyre using the entire main cast, they could have turned it into one big new adventure with a little effort from everyone. That would have been a major hit.

Also, the way Wesker was killed off was kind of a let down. Two rockets to the head (standard Evil fare) seemed kind of an insult to someone whod been behind or involved with most of the events through the entire series. But maybe hes not even dead...

Ha, ha, that's perfectly okay! I think we all have several RE5 rants we want to get off our chests. Yeah, I was a little disappointed by Wesker's death as well, and though all my friends swear that he's alive, RE rocket launcher death is not something ANY character ever walks away from, especially not from two shots.
I totally agree with you though. If RE5 was going to be the end of the era, then they really should've gone out with a big bang of all the main characters. Alot of people wanted to see Rebecca, Billy, Barry and others to return.

Haha yeah, I hear ya. Well who knows, SUPPOSEDLY in the scene where the rockets 'hit' him, he technically seems to quick move out of the way of both (nudging his head to each side as each one passes by him) and supposedly dies from the wake of the explosion. Pluswith, I kinda figured...the dudes nuts were baking in liquid magma for about a minute or so before he emerges once again to start hollering and whipping about lol. So who knows?? Maybe Wesker isnt really has...he HAS been thought dead once before.
And plus, SUPPOSEDLY I heard a rumor that the ones behind the series were planning on one game in which all the series main protagonists would, story wise, all gather together at some point. Maybe its complete bull, it was scrapped, or some other variation, but at the very least, we always have our imaginations...haha.

The whole Oroboros thing is somewhat symbolic for true immortality, the symbol for it being the snake/dragon devouring it's tail endlessly or something like that. I think Wesker's survival is really a matter of mythology and symbolism vs. a classic Resident Evil rocket launcher trope. There might be a rip in the fabric of time and space if someone survives a rocket launcher in an RE game. xD
I think we'd all love for a reunion of protagonists. I guess if capcom doesn't do it, then you're right, it's up to our imaginations. And fanfiction.
