About damn time I finished coloring this. XD I've always wanted to draw something Green Lantern related (the first 2 don't count since I didn't do them seriously).Anyways, this is Kyle under the influence of Parallax. I have to say, the Sinestro Corps War has to be my all time fave major comic event EVER. 8D Just so damn awesome.
PS: Sorry if the crab mask looks off... It was hard to draw ok?! D:

*sigh* I won't say it doesn't irk me that no one else likes them. Ganthet and Sayd are my favourites, but I like them all. I think they get a lot of unfair bad rep

Though I really can't help disliking them at times (especially the new laws or using Kyle as a test pilot for Ion). ^_^ Though they did good recently by taking the latest law away.

Ah, now I've been thinking about those things. The thing with Kyle, I'm not sure, i don't know whether they were lying there or not, just to placate him, but based on earlier comics that I own, it looked to me as though they had planned to use Kyle as the permanent Torchbearer, but changed their minds in the scope of the Sinestro War.
The Third Law however, I am positive is not actually their fault. They were manipulated into doing that. Notice during Sins of the Star Sapphires, Scar brings their attention to Zamaron's blatant show of power, and calls for that diplomatic mission, making sure that it would go wrong. Using the Guardians' new enmity because of the failed negotiations, and the excuse that love was the Zamaron's source of power, she cleverly installed that law to weaken the Corps. She suggested it if you'll remember.
Some of the things they did I admit I didn't like. Such as trying to send larfleeze after Ganthet and Sayd, that annoyed me that did. But at the same time I can't help but feel sorry for them. There's six of them left now, and despite over 4 billion years of good deeds, all they get is a punch in the face, a ton of lip from all the vets, and the lowest approval rating from fans.
You might want to stop me here, the Guardians are my favourite characters ever and I'm not likely to shut up

Yeah, I know that Kyle was meant to be the Torchbearer (permanently, back then) and the whole "Ion was actually an entity" was just so that the Parallax entity made sense. It's just that it still rubbed me the wrong way a bit when they sorta used him like that (especially since it was Kyle who gave up the Ion energy to bring them back to life and reignite the Corps). And also how they don't listen to Ganthet as much, even though he was the one who took care of them. Then again, we can always blame the writers for changing their minds and retconning stuff. XD
And the third law, I think it's more like I don't like how they sort of fell quite so easily for traps like that. (And the lethal force as well courtesy of Sinestro, then again that was probably the best idea at the time, with a war and all... they also made some bad decisions at the time of the Blackest Night). But most of all, I think it's their stubbornness and naivety at times that just really annoys me about them. So, yeah.

I myself have only one friend who's into Green lantern, and he is hoping that the Guardians are going to die out, though like me he likes Ganthet and Sayd. I hope Sayd gets out of that deal with Larfleeze, I thought Ganthet and she was a cute couple.
Oh i certainly see that. They're decisions during and since the Sinestro War were brought on by pressure, and a mounting anxiety that the Blackest Night may actually be coming. It's like politicians during a war. Most Lanterns were all up for the lethal power idea, there were a few against it but the majority were like "awesome!". Then as the War of Light drags on, people start seeing the negativity of their decisions. And all in all, I think it is the writers fault to a degree, because I remember not too long ago when the Guardians were immensely more understanding. I'm hoping that their recent conversation with Ganthet shows them willing to open up to the wider universe a bit. Most of their naivety comes from a perpetual lack of actual interaction. But then again, look at App Ali Apsa, and what happened to him when he interacted with the universe.

this pact they made, I'm iffy about it. Ganthet said he would have to give up something, and then he revoked his own title of Guardian. I don't think that's what he's truly given up though, I think it's something else, something... less tasteful if you know what I mean, something that'll put a grain of salt in our mouths.
Knowing Geoff Johns, the deal will probably end with Sayd getting killed. I like him for the stories he's done, I've loved the Sinestro War, the creation of the emotional spectrum and everything, but I really think he's trying to kill off the Guardians, and I am not okay with that. I mean have you seen the legion of super heroes? Sodam Yat in the future? All the Guardians are dead, Mogo's gone, the Green lanterns have all died out.

I dunno about the fate of the guardians, but I doubt you'll have to worry about a future like the one shown in legion of superheroes (lol, Prime was awesome
