Description
This tree has mesmerized me since I was a small child. Despite the horrible [unknown] misfortune that has caused it to lose it's top, it still lives off of one meager branch. Against the odds, it has survived.Related content

I also have been amazed by trees like that (None of them were so steadfast as this one though!) since I was little, but now they've all been cut down. The photo is so striking!

the sky is just a big overexposed, but the detail in the tree is great. good choice on the grayscale.

THis is so gorgeous! I love the history of this tree. The harsh contrast gives it a lot more impact and seriousness. It seems very stark and straightforward. Nice.

What happened to the tree in your town to make like this? I've always wondered about this one; it's been like this since I was a small child.
