Description
Ari was laying in the field. It was late summer and very hot so he didn't feel like doing much. Resting in the paddock after a long day was always a great pasttime for the peafowl stallion. He yawned and snuggled his head against the grass, sighing contentedly. A grasshopper moved quietly around him and slowly he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of sunsets on the beach and galloping across fields of green.

Gary greeted the staff from Mouton Manor warmly. They were visiting for the weekend and had brought along a surprise. Opening the trailer, they led out the gangly filly, daughter to Aridaios. She had grown bigger since the last time the Dapple Wood Stables staff had seen her, and they snapped pictures and slipped her treats while Jordan entertained the staff with coffee and other delights.

"Let's bring her to daddy and see if he remembers her," Gary winked. They led the frisky grullo to the paddock and pushed her gently inside. Looking back at them with a tilted head, she snorted and gave a small kick before snuffling the grass and flowers around her. Seeing her daddy in the distance, she suddenly grabbed a flower and pranced over with some high-knee action that would put a Tennessee Walker to shame. She whinnied through her teeth, which held the flower carefully.

"Daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy!!!!!!!"

Ari grunted and lifted his head, sleepy eyes trying to make sense of the situation. Catching sight of his daughter barreling towards him, he frowned. He was getting too old for this.

"Daddy look what I BROUGHT for you!!" she squealed, the flower drooping from her muzzle. She galloped closer and closer and didn't seem to be stopping any time soon. He lifted up further, to try to avoid collision, but it was too late. She took one giant leap and was on him. She huffed as the air was knocked out of her.

"How do you manage this?!" he began to rise to his feet but found his daughter sprawled across him, sufficiently stuck.

"I wanted to put the pretty flower in your hair!!!! With your other flowers!!!! ;D" she giggled. He shook his head out of disbelief and tiredness. 'The things these people put me through...' he glanced over and found them in a fit of laughter, snapping pictures to mark the humiliation. All he could do was sigh and lay back down, with his daughter clambering atop him. Oh the days of fatherhood.

An awesome collaboration between *luckyluci and I :3 we really wanted to do an awesome pic between Ari and Bio and when I saw this on google one day, we knew it was perfect!!!!!!! So she did the inital sketch, I did the lines, coloring, and markings, she did the shading, and I did the bg :3 in that order! We're pretty happy with how this one came out ^^
