Background/history:
- Cheri grew up in a small town in france, sticking to the shadows and avoiding notice, like any Imp with half a brain did. She was quickly contracted to an older warlock at the age of 5, helping him out around the house. He taught her to bake, and they would take their creations to the children of the town. One day, she was met with a boy in tears, and in an attempt to cheer him up, she brought one of the little gingerbread men to life. The boy cheered up, watching the little biscuit's antics, which earned her the nickname gingerbread girl. She was happy with life, and the Warlock treated her well, like a daugher. Sadly, as she reached her 8th birthday, the Warlock was murdered by his daughter, leaving Cheri in his will to her. Unlike her father, she was far from kind to Cheri. She would beat her at the drop of a hat, and branded her with the family mark, to show her as the family's property. During one particular beating, when Cheri was 11, things got out of hand. The witchs husband interviened, and Cheri was so happy. Maybe there was someone who would be nice to her after all. And he was, though the type of affection he showered her with was....different from her previous masters. Eventually, the witch cottened onto what her husband was doing, and in a fit of rage disowned Cheri, kicking her out onto the streets. Terrified and alone at only 14, she wandered the streets, unsure of what to do with herself. Eventually, earning money from odd jobs, she saved up enough to enroll in Ever after high, determined to improve her magic skills, hoping to discover what she wants to do in her future whilst there.
