Yay another Princess Tutu fanart! eue" I hardly ever finish fanarts. I painted it for the July contest in #Club-Tutu - Masquerade! My first thought was Phantom of the Opera because they had a quote from the masquerade scene in the prompt. XD; Unfortunately, it didn't exactly turn out how I planned and became this sort of MPD murder party mystery kind of thing instead. Oops.
I'm not sure if this deviation counts for the contest since not all of the characters have masks (only Tutu...) but I'm going to submit it anyways and hope for the best! The lighting in this painting was really hard but a lot of fun as well. It's my first time trying to use... 4? Yeah, 4 different light sources so I hope you enjoy it!

I thought it would be interesting- kind of like a split personality sort of thing. I also tried to make the scene seem like a murder mystery where "Tutu" takes Mytho's heart against Ahiru's will. (dun dun duuuun)

ASDdASdASadASDdAS PRINCESS TUTU!!!!!! this anime is so freaking cute ;w;! 8D i started to watch it thanks to someone of DA who sais Ahiru was like Ailith and i wa slike ASdADsdDdAS i hate that imust watch that shiz and i did and i got hooked in the plot even when they repeat the same thing over and over agian in the episodes it's somehow.... catchy? 8D
OH and i boguht from volume 7- 14 of black bird ;w; can't wait to read it XD sadly couldn't buy high school debut cause american airlines just allowed one suitcase per person and fuck D< they just cock blocked me my mom managed to fix the 8 books ( cause i bought inukami 4,5 and 6 big volume to 8'D ) in the 2 bags we could take ;w; eheheh... and i bougth the membership of barns&novels XD at least i will be able to buy the books and gt free shipping to my cousin's house... 8'D

It really is too cute! ;u; I can see where Ahiru and Ailith look similar- both their looks and their personalities. XD They're both extremely adorkable~

Fakir is really fun to draw! I remember when I was working on a painting of Princess Tutu and him, he was pretty easy. Now trying to get the right combination of colors to match the costumes in watercolor, that was rough. xP My pleasure! I love your style, it's adorable! :3

I really liked how you interpreted Ahiru and Tutu's hair! And I'm glad I'm not the only one that had that song stuck in my head after hearing the prompt. XD You're lighting is amazing. I don't think I could handle keeping track of four different light sources yet.

Awwww, thanks~ ;u; I tried to make the hair a little more realistic and less anime~ Honestly, though, the lamp light and the light from the fireplace were pretty easy to manipulate because of the shades I used but it was the pendant and shard that were hard to work with. >n<
Since this is only my second time working with dynamic lighting I was a little nervous but it turned out alright. You should try it sometime- it may not come out perfectly but practice helps! <3 You shouldn't let yourself be daunted by inexperience.

If you want ideas then I suggest looking at stock photos! Even if you don't use them directly they're still fun to go through. c; I used this one ->[link] for a little reference myself. Knowing that you can still improve is a good thing. When you stop improving is when you stop being an artist.
