I found making various shades in simple grayscale is interesting.

The subject of conveying color by use of grayscale is addressed by Paul Klee in his books "The Thinking Eye" and The Nature of Nature". I often refer to his ideas when creating s palette.

I happened to see some text about a theory of how to show a colors via greyscale. An experimental psychology or some sort of. Maybe at the University library. Can't find it. Nevertheless, this artwork really makes me think about that book.
