She slowly stroked her mare's fuming neck, allowing a moment for them to take their breath again. It was cold this evening, sharp and crisp, hard on the lungs, luckily she did not wait any later to start this hack because they might have come back tired and freezing. Alexa got her phone out of her pocket to make sure she would not miss the bonfire event that was about to begin; she would still have to come back and shower, thankfully she had grooms to take care of Republic at least. She sighted and put the cellphone back where it belongs, a Queen is never late anyway, they would just have to wait for her for an hour. One more glance at the frozen lake and at the sky that gave them quite the scenery before turning around, pushing her big mare into a lope for their way back.
