Description Second and last bid for this batch of AusWB, as this cutie had been pulling my heartstrings since her first auction.
This is not as elaborate as I would have wanted it, but I would have hated myself not to try
____________________________________________

The last year had been high in emotions, and slowly things started to settle in some sort of calm and day to day had seemed to turn into a routine. Long distance relationship not only making the days apart excruciating, but if they had to be boring on top of it? HELL. That wasn't great.
So that is why eventually Tess started scouting for a new equine project. One she could possibly train and compete with eventually, and hopefully do so as a couple activity by dragging Sam with her on this possible adventure.. So of course when the ads went up for this new AusWB horses  listed, she was quick to send them all to Sam - making sure to spam him just right so he would wake up to a thousand messages - and to seek Alex"s impression on them.- As MS would be sponsoring this potential purchase-.
Above all, it was Pigeon's that caught Tess's heart. She was young, cute as a button, fiery from what was presented, and was for sale due to no fault of her own, and seemed to pack some solid potential for a competitive future. She sounded perfect.

So obviously arrangements had to be made, A few phone calls and message exchange, the trip was booked and the date was settled. She would meet this Pigeon Lady, and she was more than thrilled about it.
Day to day wasn't as boring when you day dream this much.

*******

"Hey there cutie." cooed Tess a she joined the mare in the field, ears perked up and looking curiously at this very bright haired human.
" How are you doing today? " asked the young woman just as if she really expected an answer from Pigeon. " Yeah, same, well, glad to meet you miss." she raised the soft brush she had brought along after meeting the staff in the barn, glad also that she was fine meeting this potential new partner alone, hoping to get a better idea of the energy they could share together. It didn’t take long for Tess to start brushing the dust off Pigeon’s coat, scratching her along the way as she hoped to steal her heart as a retaliation for stealing hers with her sale advertisement. Tess took some quick pictures of this cute blue roan - not without asking for her consent too of course!- so she could show her to Sam and see what he thought of this potential project mount. Before putting her phone away promptly: " Care to show me how you move now? " and Tess cautiously clacked with her tongue to get Pigeon going, prancing and strutting her floaty but also explosive gaits. It didn't take much for Pidge to start hopping, rearing and bucking, obviously not jetlagged like Tess currently was, clearly in a much better shape. But, that still got her to chuckle, easily influenced by this funky feeling, joining the mare in her antics: hopping, sprinting, suddenly crouching, even a couple of cartwheel to make it extra, before dropping herself on the ground - out of breath after a few laps-.

A large smile pulled her lips seeing Pigeon curiously join her again, snorting and breathing loudly, almost wondering if this very odd human was still breathing. Softly Tess brought her hand to the horse's nose, chuckling tenderly " Don't worry love, i'm fine,,,, only a little bit out of shape."

The plans:
Tess has been looking for a project horse to start along with Sam. Her current Obertaurers are obviously not working options for shared training. Hence the need to start looking to acquire a new horse. Something bold and colorful inside out is truly what Tess need as a companion and this young bold mare seems to be the right match to tackle the many odd situations that Tess would put them in. As for the young age of Pigeon, with Sam's care and help there is no doubt it would not be an issue for this team to bloom into something promising
While MS usually aim for horses with higher breed ranking, Pigeon would not be bought in the idea to be part of the breeding program, but instead aim for a show career and hopefully be turned in a showmaster seasoned lesson horse one day
The idea is to focus on her uprising more than aim directly to show and age her just yet. The potential show name would be Pigeon D’argile LOL

Pigeon (Registered name not decided), is being offered for private sale again with the assistance of the Australian Warmblood Association.

Her owner recently discovered that she is pregnant, and has had to reevaluate her horses and training plans for the future. It is a very hard sale as her owner loves the mare dearly, but Pigeons personality is not one that would do well with putting out to paddock or a long period of time until her owner is ready to work with her seriously again. Sadly this has means that Pigeon is looking for a new home that can continue her education during the crucial next few years.

Pigeon is a fantastic young mare with a lot of potential, but she has some quirks that mean she looking for an experienced and patient home that will help her thrive as she continues her training. She has the groundwork and foundation work put in, with a big focus on getting her exposure to a range of settings and activities. She is quite independent and adventurous, not afraid of taking on challenges, but she has a lower threshold for excitement and can be very difficult to handle and work with safely when she is overstimulated. This has proven to be her largest challenge and will require careful management to make sure she does not develop into a problem horse, and instead give her the right start in life to help her reach her potential.

Ability wise Pigeon is a fantastic young horse. She has a stunning floating and extravagant trot that was widely adored as a foal and during her grading assessment. Her jump is neat and she does not waste energy or space with unnecessary acrobatics over fences, but she greatly enjoyed free jumping up to the point it became too exciting and she decided to show off her dreams of becoming a bucking bronco as well. Really she could go in a variety of directions, her main challenge will be mentally preparing her to deal with busy show environments or disciplines that require a higher threshold for stimulation. She can get there, but it may just take a bit longer and require a bit more work than other youngsters.

She had been placed in a home previously, but after a short period of time it became clear it was not a suitable match and she was returned to the Association in order to find a better partner for her. Due to this the Association and her owner are happy to offer assistance in meeting with the successful buyer and working with them and a trainer to help ensure that they start their relationship on a good footing. Should they ever find themselves in a situation where she becomes too much or they are stuck, the buyer is always welcome to reach out and the Association will offer support in finding a solution or a local trainer that can help them, or even will offer to take the mare back to prevent her being sold into the general market where she could be left unsupported.

Pigeon can be inspected at the Association Headquarters just an hour outside of Melbourne VIC. The landscape is wide and flat with plenty of long gold grass in the paddocks and scattered Gum trees for shelter. She is currently in training, though it is primarily groundwork with her backing progressing slowly and steadily. Interested parties are able to utilise the outdoor arena, indoor arena, or paddocks to view this mare. She may be viewed loose, and can be lunged and put through basic paces by experienced trainers + riders. If desired interested parties may borrow an Association Horse or bring their own to use as as a mount to lead Pigeon for a trail ride around the property.

About this horse:
Pigeon is a brave, tough, and attitude filled young mare. She is still at the start of her training journey and life experience, and although an absolutely lovely and fun little horse, she requires a lot more knowledge and work to help keep her working with her humans rather than against them. She is curious, investigative and happy to take the less worn path to get to something she wants. She is a bush bashing champ, and is not afraid to strike out on her own when need be. She is fearless, and has been exposed to a wide range of stimuli from a young age. Her owner recognized her adventurous nature from a young age and has put a lot of time into including her in all their activities to help get her comfortable out doing things and put a strong foundation of trust and fun into going out and working with people. She has been ponied alongside countless other horses, has been trailered to different locations including arena hires, training clinics, and trail rides. She participates in work around the property including checking fences, moving cows, and even following along for a weekend ride to the local pub. All this work has been done intentionally to try and minimise the amount of changes and things she will have to focus on when she is ready for serious training. Having her calm and used to a range of situations without a rider on board was seen as a much safer first step for her due to her quirks. She is sweet and eager, but can be rather strong willed, and also is prone to over-stimulation when there is just too much new things going on at once. Its not fear based, rather excitement based, and she gets so worked up looking at everything that her brain just seems to shut off. Once she reaches that threshold she is very difficult to contain, and is prone to rearing, bucking (and she has a WICKED buck) and just generally ignoring her handlers. She has had a lot of groundwork done, and has had natural horsemanship techniques used with good success as she had become over excited at some of the clinics. She can be groomed all over, is easy for the farrier and the vet, but she can be a bit funny with the clippers and needs it done in short doses where she can take a breather when the noise and vibrations become too much for her. She is quite sensitive to the sounds and feel of saddles on her. It took quite a while for her to adapt to that during her training and while she is fine with saddles and rugs now, it should be noted that changing tack might be a bit tricky for her in future. Her owner has sat on her twice, but advises that great care should be taken when continuing to back her as she is VERY athletic when she gets over stimulated and will likely need a lot of time and repetition of little steps forward before she really is 'rideable'. As she is still so young it is not advised to put her into super heavy training yet, but it is advised that her training is not completely stopped and that during her 'breaks' she is kept active and continued to be exposed to the world to keep her brain working and prevent her return to work from being too much all at once.

Notes:
Bullet; Red This horse should not be bred to horses with white markings. Any foals that display more than 25% white will not be suitable for registration.
