My friend likes to send me pictures of your work because we both like Sailor Moon. Figured I'd comment on this one since I like it so much.
It's this scene, as well as the other one you drew where they're all trapped in the alley and Jupiter gets a good look at Mercury's backside while blushing like crazy, that makes me think that if Sailor Moon was redone today, these two would be a couple. Ami's always helping Mako, encouraging her, and doesn't care about what she looks like--as in, she doesn't mind Mako being so tall, something Mako admits she is self-conscious about. Throw in the fact that Ami is the least boy-crazed out of all of the girls, and I don't think it would be much of a stretch to redo her character as being gay--as long as we don't count the whole, "Each one of them was in love with one of the generals from Earth" thing.
Meanwhile, Mako seems to have pretty bad luck with guys, but she always has this friend that's there to support her. And I think that scene in the alley is kind of telling, as is the fact that she jumps right in to dance with Ami. Ami treats her the way she wants to be treated by a guy--values her cooking, smarts, and appearance, but at the same time isn't frightened or intimidated by Mako's strength, abilities, or hobbies.
Given time, I think Mako would come to realize that what she's been looking for was right in front of her, but she was so caught up in the fantasy romance story that she never even noticed it.
And once Uranus and Neptune come along, and Mako sees that a relationship between two girls works just fine, I think that would have been the tipping point.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on your pictures. They make me smile and think of stuff.

Awww this was one of my favorite episodes!.. Actually any episode about Lita really I loved. This one, and when she's training up in the mountains to get stronger than sailor moon and she figures out how to use the thunder dragon? LOVE.
