Description
Because he needed one!My version of him is based onto the image of the cub at the end of TLK, i like to think it's Kopa and not Fluffy or Kiara or whatever. And i took the colours right from the scene, darkened them just a bit (since we know that cubs' pelt darkens with age), gave him green eyes from Nala or Scar and his mane colour is also from Nala and yeah! Here he is
Hope you like him.
And sorry for not uploading speedpaints, they will be in the gallery very very soon today, i couldn't find time to upload anything on Saturday and Sunday so yeah.

Kopa got his blue eyes from nala. Everyone draws it different ways. We believe kopa is the only child out of all 3 of them to get nala's genes and have brown fur and blue eyes.

They're just different versions of Kopa. My Kopa, for example, has green eyes's like Nala's, creamy-gold fur and a red mane.

He looks great! I like his eye color. Its my headcanon that Kopa has blue/green or green eyes because of Nala's and Scar's eyes. He has the genes on both sides of his family after all.

some of my old LK books refer to the cub as a he.

Actually, you don't know that at the end of The Lion King One, You don't find that out till Lion King Two. If you look at the cub from the ending of 1 and compare him to the cub at the beginning of 2 there is a distinct color difference. So due to these differences many say that the first one was Kopa, and the second one Kiara.

Right. Soo. You probably know this, but Kopa wasn't made by Disney, and was just accepted with the books for the money and heck of it. This character was never 'replaced'. He was not even there in the first place, right? Fluffy is Fluffy because they didn't even think of a second movie to go with TLK. So, I don't take Mohatu, Taka, Tojo and all that as something really related to the actual story - ifyouknowwhatImean - and stuff.
But yeah, I really would prefer if TLK2 was about a male cub - not necessarily 'Kopa', but instead of flirty Kiara with all that Romeo and Juliet gibberish - discovering the lands, interacting with animals, making friends and such. Or at least a prequel. That'd be nice too.
Anyway, I've been thinking of 'remaking' the sequence myself.

PERFECT I LOVE THIS SO DAMN MUCH!!! Hey have you thought about doing a comic story about Kopa? I know lots of people said he didnt exist or he was killed or was supposedly killed but survived, but your lion king style is so good and your characters and characters that have you considered doing one? It would be awesome but obviously I would understand if you didnt want too, its alot of work

Yes, she does, and i've heard she was supposed to (or at least that was the idea) look like Sarabi a bit. But they could do a much better job on her
Actually i love to draw Kiara with colorless paws, so she looks more like Nala ^_^
