Description
So with a little persistance from some people who brought to my attention the large group of people who worship feet on DA, I have succomb to the pressure and am releasing my first foot photo. I'm hoping to have a better one at some point. I really like the idea of this one and it's something new for me but I'm not quite happy with my photoshopping on it but I ad to remove a few toiletry items from behind me. The cabenet and toilet plunger didn't seem to be very attractive accessories. So anyway, low and behold here it is. Let me know what you think.PS
someone owes me a doodle of my car

For what it counts, I adore this one. The blurriness, the Tattoo, placement, focus, pose, etc. etc. ^^
Good work, and never feel like you need to erase out your tattoos of your photos.

Love the depth of focus here.
I think a bit more contrast would have made the photo stand out a bit more though

I gave it a lot of contrast but I think it got lost somewhere down the line. I noticed that too

Like someone above said, try to rely on your camera's depth of field abilities rather than on photoshop. This is a great setup, and the photo itself appears to be well-taken ... but the blur is putting me off a bit. The EXIF info says your aperture was at 7.1. If your camera has a Manual mode (or an Aperture Priority mode), using a lower f-stop (your camera probably goes as low as 2 or 2.8) will give you that blur, and allow you to use a faster shutter speed.
But at any rate, you've got some awesome photos in your gallery ... so keep up the good work.

well either way I'm glad you like. As for the background I'm sitting here trying to fix it again but honestly it's not working. the objects I'm trying to erase just keep making the wall look blotchy. If I find someone who has a cooler bathroom than me I'll most deffinately reshoot it.

I like this.. but it would be better if you could do it with a really tight focus with a really high f number. Youd probably need a hell of a lens to do it though. It would mean you wouldnt have to photoshop it at all though.

i think its a little too blurry at the upper part of the pic,(even if i really love the shot!)
it looks like there are legs that are on a blurry wall

emilymartian In reply to Perotsu [2005-07-16 03:18:53 +0000 UTC]
yeah I debated the blurryness but it was actually necesary to get rid of the hutch that was originally there. I might try it differently though to see what I get

I like the concept of the dof.... but like some have said, I think it's a little.... too brazen, a little over the top. I don't think it would be a bad idea to make the rest of your body blurry, but I'd like it to look more like a real photo, than the heavily blurred.
Though, kudos to your PS skillz. Pretty sweet, I dare to say. I probably wouldn't be able to make the pluger go away.

the plunger was the easy part I completely replaced that back wall...it didn't look right so I blurred it...and viola! this is what I got. I'm pretty happy with it...but I think I'll play with it some more

Okay, so I suggested t his in your poll, but here was a REALLY quick idea from me.... and excuse and weird measurements, etc... because I was cropping it using MSPaint and a laptop mouse... >.< It seriously tok two seconds. Sorry! But maybe you'll get my point. [link]

Fantastic! That tat must've hurt a little by the face portion. I like the depth of field and the contrast of lights and darks give this an abstract feel. There's a nice flow of darks from the tail to your toes.

emilymartian In reply to BludonutKing [2005-07-16 03:24:38 +0000 UTC]
thanks actually the tail is what hurt the most, the head was hell but then my foot went numb. It's one of the most painful ones I have. The top of the foot is super sensative and there's no meat...arg...that was soo many years ago.

Yeah thats true after awhile the repeating motion of the needle just stops hurting and turns to numbness. I found that the outlining was the worst with mine. I'm hoping my next one isn't gonna kill. I'm planning on getting it just below the back of the neck.
