i actually started watching one piece again because of him XD I know he is evil and stuff but i really just love this guy and his epic laugh ( and faces) XDD
( i normally prefer the original and watch it with subs

Caesar is my favorite character to "love to hate" on One Piece, and Monet is one of my favorite characters, period. Both of them debut during the Punk Hazard arc. I will be very mad if the casting directors mess up their voices, especially Caesar's. It's so hard to find a thin and whiny man's voice, except in Japanese actors from what I've heard in English subbed anime. The closest sounding actor I can think of in Funimation's current roster would be Todd Haberkorn, but that doesn't seem right for Caesar.

They actually did a pretty good job with Brook, but I am a bit disappointed with Franky. Patrick Seitz is really deep compared to the slightly whiny Japanese, but still no more careful of being polite in either language. Ian Sinclair... I was really worried he would mess up Brook by not being gentlemanly, obsessed with panties, or being bad at conveying serious emotional pain... when I heard him in Strong World, and then in the English dub of Thriller Bark, my heart was put at ease. After falling for Brook as my favorite Straw Hat in high school, I had to wait five years to hear his voice in English (That's age 15 to age 20 in terms of birthdays, mind you.), so I was worried and eager to hear them get it right.
Funimation is pretty good at their casting, and their cultural translations of the script, but even still, I worry about my favorite characters in anime getting the right voices.

haha , yeah , i totally get you XD ( but german dub for animes is worse.... they do such amazing job with movies , but almost always mess up the animes... makes my ears bleed D: )
