Thanks! I'm doing pretty well. I've been such a homebody for the last week though. Β Probably from being out so much the 1st half of summer. How has your summer been? Anything special?

I'm glad to hear! Being a homebody isn't all that bad right?
When does school/work start for you again?
I've been working at a primary school and I've loved every minute of it but the holidays are finally here now, so I had to say goodbye to all those lovely kids :c I'll be going to Spain for two weeks tomorrow with my parents and boyfriend, after that I'll go with him to Sweden for another 2 weeks and then it'll be back to studying again for me.

Haha it's not so bad because I've been spending a lot of time practicing cooking and making stuff for my shop. Work starts next week. So not ready to go back but..I'm sure everything will be fine! I always get the jitters before each school year. New students...new parents..and this year I'm teaching a different course but it's life science so it's up my alley.
Omg that is awesome! What was your role at work? Was it only for a season? Your trip sounds really fun. Still haven't been to Europe yet but it's on my travel list! Along with many, many other places haha.Β

Hey there! Sorry it took me so long :CΒ
I worked for my aunt and the coordinator of the toddler classes. With the toddlers I did extra reading (telling stories for the youngest or the kids with a second language), language related games and counting related games. I had little groups of 5 toddlers (6 groups of each 5 toddlers, spread over 4 days) and oh boy, did I have trouble with them at times, haha. Of course the teachers give you the most active/loud ones so they don't have to worry about them for 30 minutes
I had a few kids aged 6/7 that lagged behind in reading, so I did some extra reading with them. It was okay, but not the most exciting thing ever (it was just them reading to me). Besides that I had two kids aged 8 and I loved working with them the most. I did some maths with the girl (she just lagged behind on everything, poor girl), I wasn't really sure if she enjoyed her time with me, but at the end of the school year she showered me with homemade presents and drawings/letters, so I guess I did something right Β Β The 8 year old guy I had was just a shear pleasure every day. I did maths with him (1h a day) and he showed SO much progress, it was amazing to see his work improve, but even more so to see him starting to believe in himself. Besides that he had a rough time at home, so I was happy I could give him that extra bit of love/attention he so desperately needed. He even asked me to marry him, haha!Β
How has school been so far for you? Nice kids this year? And how do you like teaching the new course?
