Dancing

Steve and you have been dating for a bit. You understood that he was a soilder, but you two wanted a night to yourself before he had to really go into action.

"What do you want to do?" He asked, gently holding your hand while you walked.

While you thought, you watched people stare at Steve and you. It was like they never seen a couple before. Or the fact that he was towering over you and you looked like his teenage daughter.

"How about dancing?" You asked him, looking up at him while you two walked.

His face went pale and he shrugged lightly. "Anything you want. We'll do it." He tried to smile, giving you a small kiss on the nose while he bent down.

You sighed, kissing his cheek. "Are you alright Steve?"

"I'm fine."

It being the 40's, it was very uncommon to show too much affection in public so people were watching you closely, almost in disgust.

"Well, I think I'm going to head home and get ready for tonight. I'll see you at your place around six." Pecking his cheek again--knowing you left a lipstick mark--you left.

Steve blushed slightly and shook his head, walking back to his appartment.

Once you met up with Steve again, you went to the place you knew that you could dance.

"Are you all set?" He asked you, getting ready to take his jacket off. "Are you sure you're not cold?"

"Steve, I'm fine. Lets just get inside so we can dance." You laughed, walking inside with him.

Once you both played, you looked at him while you walked to the dance floor. He stood there, looking extreamly uncomfortable.

You sighed lightly, placing you hands on his chest. "What's wrong?"

"I can't dance. I don't know how.." He blushed, letting out a soft sigh.

"Do you think that I know how?" You questioned, laughing when he nodded. "I've never been dancing in my life!"

He smiled lightly, wrapping his arms around your waist to give to a kiss. "Let's both try something new tonight then."
