I was just curious how it would looks like in human form.FULL VIEW PLZ!!
I still think that Groke is scary D: The Moomins is the best horror evah!!! And Groke's teeth looks like the piano xD But I wanted to draw her as little alone girl. Nobody likes her because she brings winter to Moomin's valley. Groke is so cold that she looking for warmth.

This is just beautiful! One of my favorite human versions of Groke.
BTW, I'm working on a fanfic, in Greek, about the Groke and how she was actually cursed by the Lady of the Cold. Could I please use this picture as cover art?

Everything she touch become ice and she really devours a warmth (like a bonfire, a warmth of house) and she couldn't enjoy it because it freeze when she step on it. When she is in a the same spot or place more than hour, nothing will grow there. It's really sad. Nobody knows if she is dangerous or sad and lonely creature.

I really like this idea. The Groke is the most interesting character in the moomin series in my opinion and also my favorite. She scares the hell out of me, but there is a deeper side to her - she isn't a bad person. This shows quite well how she must feel from the inside.

Anyway, the girl is very cute. She looks like The Lady Of The Cold in a comic book i had, but much younger. ^^

I have a theory how the grokes might have been born:
They are actually ghosts, the restless spirits of the dead. when they were living, they caused misery to other people with cold, unfeeling and selfish hearts. they didn't realize the wrongness in their actions until on their death beds when it was too late. their souls didn't find peace but transformed into scary monsters, The Grokes. now they have realized their mistakes and want to repent. they yearn for warm and friendship they didn't have in their previous lives, but because of their horrible appearance and cold touch no one dares to approach them. only if the groke manages to make friends despite its scary looks, it will find peace.
