Oh well. Ieyasu's English characterization is pretty much the entire reason I love him. I've played all his paths and he talks less about bonds (which I find inspirational) than you say he does. That's just my humble opinion.
Quite honestly, I'm more annoyed by Tsuruhime's fawning over Kotaro than anything else...except Motonari. Motonari can go die somewhere.

Not so much a sadist to me. He doesn't have a heart with which to feel sadism. He's colder than liquid nitrogen.
I will say this though: the time he lost his temper in Sengoku Basara 3 during one of Motochika's paths was the most glorious thing ever. I had no idea that he had a temper to lose.
