In a Marvel comics there was a few issues that took place on a Earth version where the Marvel characters were fairy tail creatures and/or stand-ins for classic fairytale stories. On that Earth the characters of Spider-man were playing the roles of Cinderella with Peter being Cinderella and Gwen the Prince. Gwen was a princess and her father (Captain Stacy) was a King of the kingdom that was just, fair, and beloved. Peter wasn't raised by Aunt May or Ben but was a forced servant to Norman. Peter with help from MJ was able to go to the ball hidden as the 'Spider-Knight' hoping to have a good time and met Princess Gwen. When Norman discovered during the ball that Peter was there as the unknown Spider-Knight he tried to kill him as he wanted his son to marry the princess and by controlling his son he planned to eventually control the kingdom when he would assassinated the king and princess later. Using his own armour as the ""Goblin Knight" he went to kill Peter during the ball.
Now this fairy tale issue was made long before 2014's Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 where Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman came to be which in turn altered the basic institutionalization thinking to what 'Gwen Stacy' can be beyond a tragic death for the main hero. Thus of course in the tale she died after saving Peter from a falling chandelier cut down due to the 'Goblin Knight' trying to kill Peter pushing him out of the way and taking the hit herself. Norman is locked up and Peter by the King's request seeing how his daughter believed in this man Peter is made his heir to the kingdom but everybody winds up unhappy due to the tragedy.
In my head if another 'Fairy Tail' Earth was made that had a 'Princess Gwen' since one world went the traditional route where Gwen was selected to play in the role of tragedy after linked to in the past her new empowerment beyond serving as a plot needed tragedy or institutionalization thinking of the past shattered perhaps Gwen can be shown both Princess and warrior/knight.
In the kingdom Princess Gwen yearned to help her subjects and in the past was able to interacted and was best friends with the 'commoners' Peter and MJ which was unheard of for any other kingdom for a royal to behaviour or connect with. However when Queen Helen died King Stacy a often wise and beloved man became very protective of his 'little princess' and suddenly Gwen felt trapped behind the place walls. Gwen in time did make additional friends with two hand servants that spoke their minds freely and earnestly that Gwen appreciated named Gloria and Betty but Gwen still missed dearly Peter and MJ.
One day a evil necromancer and alchemist attacked called the Jackal after being ousted from the kingdom due to his unethical experiments on the dead and decided it would be fun if the kingdom was destroyed from the inside starting within the castle filled with people that caused his banishment and the king that vowed to protect his people. Knowing how much the king valued his daughter the Jackal made plans to infect the princess with a monstrous metamorphosis from a spider he experimented on with rare magical potions that would be impossible to gather again. The Jackal never saw the princess before but did feel though her the princess would serve to be the perfect tool of revenge and death for the king and his kingdom with the beloved princess killing him and the subjects.
Unleashing his spider it knew whom it's target was and from the spider's eyes the Jackal could see everything. The spider crawled on the walls past the guards finding the princess in her room wishing for the power to be free, to help her subjects, and that walls would never deter her anymore. From the spider's eyes the Jackal was smitten with the princess. However forgetting why he had his spider sent to her the spider bit Gwen and she began to feel strange and fainted. The Jackal reacting instantly with a remote spell he placed on his spider should be discovered before reaching the Princess had it terminate and disconnected the spell hastily.
Believing he stopped his spell before any effects of transformation happened the Jackal altered his revenge schemes and made it his mission now to kidnap and have the lovely princess be his bride. Running away till he was ready with a new plan the Jackal didn't know he began a origin tale and a new superhero was still transforming inside the castle walls.
When Princess Gwen woke up her new powers started to appear such as her super strength, wall climbing, and spider senses. After some practice a plan to secretly be among the public and her friends again went into her head. Taking a white and black gowns and making a new hooded and clocked outfit out of it so when she was past the castle walls she would still be able to move among the public and not be spotted by guards or others that might recognize her she planed to find and see her friends Peter and MJ that she missed dearly.
Her now wall climbing powers allowed her to scale easily like a spider the large halls roofs in dark areas the people bellow wouldn't be able to spot her, passageways that was a bit smaller her spider senses allowed her to bypass the guards with shiftiness and stealth, finally the bars of a window above to was the last blockade between Gwen and the public beyond with her new strength bent so easily that she squeezed herself out and belt the protection bars back in place. Jumping first on the rooftops till finding a dark alley she could wall climb down and not be spotted doing so with her abilities.
Gwen was ecstatic to finally be back in the public square and began to be on the hunt for her friends when she heard and was alerted by her new enhanced senses of a robber running past her and a man that was overcharging others with his goods shouting.
I'll leave it there as I have to handle other important stuff for today.
