Well thank you! I actually revamped my Panty police cosplay, if you look at my newest photos... New Stocking, too, the one in this particular photo is just a good friend of mine, whereas my new stocking is my girlfriend, lulz

I'm not exactly sure, generally since we're smaller we have less cosplayers. There are usually a couple here and there at cons but no huge groups and such, perhaps that's a good thing though. Keeps the community fresh

There's usually tons of Pantys and Stockings in my area.. well.. that's not entirely true. We have a lot of Stockings, but only a few Pantys.
And my Stocking and I were the first Police Panty and Stocking in our city c:

Ah yeah, Stocking always seems to edge out in terms of popularity, I assume it's because she's got that lolita look, she's more rational and less sexually ambitious. I do love Panty though, I have a sticker of her on my bass.

Admittedly, when I first saw their designs, I'd assumed I'd want to be Stocking, but once I watched the first couple episodes, I leaned way more towards Panty. I think it'd be difficult for me to pull off Stocking, I'm too much of a loud mouth. My Stocking and I actually had the most ridiculous bet, but it resulted in me being very much in character.

I think to cosplay you have to be a bit insecure tbh, same way you need to want to prove something when you perform on stage. You need a little bit of 'someone look at me!' Obviously not consciously but subconsciously I think something like that must be going on and there's no shame in it, a little insecurity can breed great art.

Haha, good point. You need to feel a bit inadequate in order to take criticism and just hang out with people not thinking your the greatest ever. It's worse to be arrogant then insecure since arrogant people can't improve through criticism whereas insecure people can if they get over the initial offense.

Indeed. It's very difficult to hang out with the overly self assured cosplayers, seeing as they can so easily make you feel like crap.
Sometimes it's even more irritating if they aren't even a great cosplayer to begin with, but they THINK they are.

Yeah exactly, obviously the best kind is a good cosplayer who is modest about their achievements and who can see their flaws.

Mm~ I actually know this guy, who seems to think he's an outstanding cosplayer. And I don't want to be rude, but the thing is, his sewing skill are horrendous in my opinion. I've been sewing for years, and I strive to make things perfectly, and he just.. he doesn't even take care of fraying edges or anything. And he uses tape half the time.. dunno, it bothers me
