Description
Well, here is piece #4 in getting started!Pencils -
Inks -
My first Portland/Vancouver Metro area collab

So, of the 4 pieces I've inked now, this is the one I did the most prep work for, even if you can't tell. About halfway through inking this piece, I was getting really frustrated with using the brush and consulted my Gary Martin book and realized that I was using an effective grip, so half the piece looks pretty shaky (even more so to you pros.)
I am happy with the piece as long as I don't think about the line weights, which I know aren't consistent. I could have used a bunch of white out to try and fix it, but I'm leaving them in there to chalk up as learning experiences.
Tools - W&N S7 #'s 1 & 2, Speedball Super Black Ink, Staedtler pens, and crappy paper.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I really enjoyed working on it, it definitely won't be the last one I do. This one is being colored right now too.
Hope to see you at the next Portland show, whenever they decide to have it.

Thanks Brian, I think it's going to be colored soon also, so keep an eye out for that.
I was going to let you know, If you have hi-res of anything that wouldn't be too difficult (I'm still learning after all), I'd be glad to do it and send you the blueline that I do. Let me know.

Thanks Cliff. I'm not going to lie, I did this piece mainly because a certain colorist I know likes the Batmobile, so I thought he might want to color this...

Thanks! Of the 4 pieces I've done, this is the first I felt like I really "inked".

What made you feel that way?

Well, this had the loosest pencils of all 4 and I didn't just trace over every line on the page. I took some liberties on some areas and tried to put my own spin on it without changing too much

Thanks for checking it out. I saw that you did this piece too
I'll stop by and look at your thread, but I don't know what tips I can give you, this is only the 4th piece I've ever inked. You'd be better off listening to the pros
