This was originally a pencil sketch that I submitted to Tokyopop to get the Princess ai gig, but recently I had a bit of time and realised I hadn't really played with my actual dip pens for a long time! I don't do a lot of natural media stuff, so dug out the sketch and tried inking it with a maru nib.I had good fun actually, and am pretty pleased with the results. The scan doesn't really show up the little details, but there's definitely something bewitching about using a dip pen...I just need to get better at it. I'd never have the confidence to use one in a comic page!

Umm..mine were a gift from dock . hehe...but they're made by deleter - so I'm sure you can get them easily enough online.

A dip pen pretty much is what it says, it' a nib in a holder and you dip it into ink to use it. Very old skool - but they're quite hard to control at times.

Would love to see it in colour. For some reason though she reminds me of Terra (FFVI) it could be the hair, or just the pose, but I looked at her and thought of Terra.
I like the inking, it looks very natural. She looks a little sad or regretful too.

A maru is a very fine dip pen nib, smaller than the G-pen. ^_^
