This is another random thing that I thought you guys might be amused to see ^_^

So, obviously there was a time when I had to sit down and work out how to draw the Vampire Academy cast...and there was a bit of back and forth for a while between myself, Richelle and the publishers. It was a real challenge, but a fun one, and I wanted to make sure everyone was happy!
What you're seeing here is one of the first ever sketches I did of Rose and then what pretty much ended up as the final design - though there have been slight tweaks since.
I really think she sassed up and became a much stronger design thanks to the feedback and guidance I received from everyone! The later design has much more of that charming Hathaway attitude that we all love, eh?

One of my favourite things about seeing work back to back like this is realising how I've changed as an artist, as much as how the character changed.
Getting feedback from editors and publishers, and your peers and friends too, is such an amazing way to improve and learn. You should never be too afraid to say 'right, scrap that - let's try again!' ^_^
