Description
Hey everyone finally another tutorial from your's truely. This is an amazingly easy way to get a solid color background removed. Selecting is the worst part for me. So anyway to make it easier is always apreciated.
Okay so what you want to do is duplicate your background layer
Layer> Duplicate
Select> Color range
Use the little eyedropper to pick up the tones of the background.
Moving the "Fuzziness" will make your selections softer or more precises, for this we want the fuzziness low
Once you have your selection inverse it
Select> Inverse
Now click on the layer mask button and mask what you've got selected.
With in the mask you can edit the selection to your hearts desire.
Enjoy!

This is really helpful :]
I'm helping a friend with one of her journalism projects and this is a massive shortcut from the way I've always done this sort of thing.
