You have a computer so you must not be poor, your physically able to use the computer so you must be in decent health, I'm assuming your not starving..... So what is there to be depressed about? You have a good life compared to some people.

I had no friends until 6th grade, and only got to see her occasionally outside of school. Most of my time, I was alone. All of my time at school I was alone. But I was happy. I enjoyed doing things by myself like drawing, playing violin and piano, reading, etc. And now I am twenty and I have quite a few friends and am still just as happy.
So, you can either lay down and let the world piss all over you, or you can say screw that and make your own happiness. Happiness, ultimately, is a choice. And this is coming from someone who has struggled with depression after being emotionally abused for three years by my boyfriend and raped.
You don't have to be depressed; and if you can't seem to get over it, try seeing a psychologist and possibly taking medicine like Paxil (which I take). These help a lot.

I have been homeless before, I pay taxes and try to scrape by every day with the little money I have, Yet I never once complained because I know I still have it good, and I can strive to better my life.

Yes, a few of your points are right. But i think also there are emos, who are emos because of that bad things in the world. and sometimes a human is hurted inside, and then they feel like non understands them. its more on their psych, because when they had bad memories.like when their parents seperated or when they loose all their friends or when their dream of a job is broken. (i hope you can understand my english, im bad at in because im german) My best friends (two of them) cuttet theirselfes. None of them talked with me about it, because they don't think that i could understand them. but they cuttet into her arms because of their parents and because the dream of a perfect life from one of them was broken. They know from the bad things on this bad earth, but thei cant realize that. every night one of them cry, and they feel like all the bad on the earth is on them. they cannot realize all the bad things so i dont think its their fault. its the fault of the people who hurtet them. of course, its not as bad as the childs in the 3rd world. but i dont think thats a reason to hate peoples. everyone has his own story, and you dont have the right to build you an opinion of things that you cant understand, because you are no emo.
