Description On Monday I found a run-over 4GB flash drive at school. I pocketed it and it turned out still works, despite the case having been mutilated spectacularly.
Life presented me with the perfect opportunity for a steampunk flash drive case mod, and I snatched it up.

Here is the result of several hours of work with copper sheet, copper wire, a brass beanie, wood caps on the ends, leather thong tie, and a little fake gear bead. The metal is all soldered together and the green plastic stone lights up when the drive is in use.

If anyone knows where one can buy inexpensive (preferably uncased) flash drives, please let me know! I might make some to sell.

Wait, $10 for 4GB? I didn't know they're THAT cheap. 'Course if I did that I'd probably want to get them in bulk. If I could get them from a manufacturer instead of retailer I'd be a better off, especially if I can buy them without cases

Not sure if they were 4G, most likely 2G, won't hurt to check. Lemme look around as far as getting them from the manufacturer.
