Description
There's a lot I could say about this... but I don't think I shouldThis was made for a uni project. Equilibrium provided an invaluable inspiration to me. The original version has a soundtrack by Klaus Badelt which I can't submit for obvious reasons. I have uploaded two other web versions that include the music and additional photoshop effects... though the movies are pretty compressed and unwatchable in my opinion. Find those here:

Btw, sorry it's huge but I can't be arsed to figure out how to shrink it down to about 400x300. So sue me...
Enjoy..?

Thanks... I believe yours are somewhere in the middle where the grey looks quite shocked after his heart disintegrates in front of him/her.

I'm really interested in people's opinions on the symbolism (I just realised I asked you on your front page, so no need to answer there if you don't want to repeat yourself! hehe)
So, what does it say to you...?

btw, I was searching for such a long time for stock photos of people with scared looking eyes... then I came across your gallery and ended up using a whole bunch by you! You really did me the hugest favour by looking frightened so frequently lol. Best eye stock ever!

Yay! We finally get to see the animation!
That's really interesting. Watched it a "few" times already, still trying to work out what I think is going on. Symbolism! Aaa! :B

A "few".... huh? Hehe
If you think of anything, let me know ^^ I think you're the only one here that's trying to pick the symbolism apart and I'd be interested to know how someone else interprets it

The only one? o.O Wow, that's very odd. I love these sorts of things. :B
Hrm, lets see...
The people walking at the beginning are all the same. Seems to speak to me of a body of people as a whole, no-one seems to be an individual, but no-one's connected. Quite a lonely existence. It reminds me of the scenes you see of people in big cities on the way to work.
Then there's a person walking alone, they trip up on something that life throws at them, and in their vulnerable state, their heart spills out because the barriers are down... but it's broken too. Pushed down by the weight of the world and the problem, and there are many hands picking up the pieces and putting them back together. Friends rallying round and supporting them in their time of need.
It's only after the pieces have been put back together that the colours spill out of the person. Showing that they're not complete on their own, or that they have nothing to give if no-one to give it to or something.
Jumping back to a large group of clone-like people, it's a stark contrast. Perhaps these people are lonely, because they're dissconnected. None of them are individuals still. These people have hearts that look whole, but perhaps that's only on the outside; they're keeping everything inside.
Again, a big contrast to what it switches back to. A very colourful person, with a paintbrush. Another hand appears and wraps itself around the wrist. It looks like a restraining gesture, perhaps because the paintbrush has grey paint on it, they don't want their friend to go back to the way they were before, to hide themselves away and not be true to themselves.
You see the two people, and both have had their hearts put back together. Perhaps this shows that everyone gets hurt, but it's not neccessarily a bad thing, if you make the most of it, and have friends to help you.
It goes back to the shot of all the grey people, and at first because you've seen them before, you expect them to all be the same. But on second look, they're all slightly different, a heart upside down, mulit-colourd, striped, a heart outlined. Perhaps this shows that what you expect to see, is not usually what's really there, and that no matter how much we try and conform, we're all different really.
Ok, that was probably really off the wall and nothing like what you intended... XD I'd like to see what you put into it in the first place now. ^^

Yesh, you're the only one interested in the symbolism. I'll take that silence as an "awww" lol.
Actually, you got all that I was trying to say ... and added in a couple of things I hadn't thought of which work in very well. I guess I'm not so great at being cryptic or subtle with my symbolism lol. Either way, I'm pretty impressed!
I guess I was trying to say that it's ok if life makes you different... but don't forget that it makes everyone different in one way or another.

Silence? Hm?
*laughs* If you ask me to see symbolism in things, I will see it and then some. Seems to come quite naturally to me. I'll be uploading a logo soon, which has tons of symbolism in too. And it didn't even have to have any... XD
Hrm, I hadn't thought of it quite like that. But yes, it's like that quote about being unique just like everybody else...
