Quarrel Class:

The Quarrel has always had a place in the Union fleet, given its focus on defensive and offensive capabilities often its speed is lacking. The Quarrel fills the niche of a very heavily armed battleship but with the speed of a smaller vessel. The Horizon fleet design has pushed this further with even more powerful ZPR and drive systems as well as the large radiator veins to deal with such. Typically mounting a heavy Spearhead drone, Hailfire launcher, Plasma cannon, Meson laser and Mass driver armament this version is no exception albeit this time with a spinal Hyperfrequency laser. The Horizon upgrade has also seen the vessel be outfitted with its own attack craft complement of both manned fighters and drone launched fighters to help it support its own independent missions. It is common to see Quarrels be the heavy centre of the Unions QRF units.
