I got the idea to do a kind of spoof of the old Greek myth of Tantalus. In that story, Tantalus was punished for killing his son Pelops, by making him spend eternity in the Underworld chest deep in water, with a fruit-bearing branch over his head. But the waters lowered when he tried to drink, and the branch went out of his reach when he tried to eat the fruit. So I got the crazy idea for Elvis to be in Tantalus' place, and have the branch laden with cheeseburgers!
