tools: Winsor & Newton, Galleria acrylic on canvas 120 x 100 cmA work from my fine art study project.
telling about something that going on inside of my head.....
in symbolic and surreal style.
In fine art, I have to turn all of these chibis into fine art style,
and they might look a bit scary. c:

Amazing, and a brilliant tranisition between manga/anime and Fine Art! My favourite artist who combines the two is Chiho Aoshima, and she does some really random but awesome stuff, too!
I really love the use of colours, but the composition seems a little bit random, but maybe that's how it's meant to be? Although I love them, the colours between the characters and the background seem to merge too much, and it makes me feel a little bit lost...
But perhaps that is the general concept?

I'm always a Huge Fan of these abstract looking paintings of yours (like Smokers). Great use of colors, shading and highlights. I love the angular feel of everything in this and its awesome how there is a bunch of stuff to hunt for (like the stick figure hanging upside down :giggle).

Definately looks like something that might be going on in someone's head (my own thoughts tend to go a million miles an hour and get all jumbled up together and would probably result in something like that if they were somehow shown for the world to see). I'm a fine arts major, too! And it's very hard to get around the whole stigma of 'anime' art with my teachers. Mm.
