Kaliyon is a person of action and little words. They usually wait as long as they can before even bothering to respond to people, and it can set them off as being somewhat antisocial, however Kalin does enjoy talking to others and can be rather amiable. They prefer to listen and observe before interrupting anyone so they are usually seen standing near people but not ever talking. It can creep people out if they don't make a sound to alert people of their presence. Kalin also will not anger easily, and only rarely looses their neutral facade. They also heavily enjoy jokes, yet never laugh at them. Silent enjoyment is the best in their mind.

Kaliyon was born in Choronos Desert, and raised alongside his younger sister, Kairi, living a relatively calm life in the oasis. At 10 years old, Kalin was bonded with his bird, Maru who showed up after a rainstorm, and waited outside the house, not allowing any but the young Kalin to touch him. Through the years Kalin practiced flying with Maru, eventually getting rather good at it, to the envy of his younger sister who still awaited her own bird to show up. Shortly after Kaliyon turned 17, their house was burned down, most suspected it was the work of monsters, but Kalins parents had dissapeared and no bodies were found. This left Kaliyon alone with his then 14 year old sister, which he took to caring for as to not be separated from her. Both of them were pretty upset about the disappearance of their parents, unsure whether they were alive or not, though Kairi suggested he travel to Skyloft to learn to be a knight, that way he could prevent such hardships from happening again. They remained at the edges of the desert for a few months, in a small hut while they waited over the procession of their parents Funeral, most assuming that the two's parents had in fact died at this point. After the funeral, Kaliyon took his sister with him to Skyloft, applying at the academy and purchasing a small house for them to stay at. Occasionally they both would visit Chronos Desert to pay their respects, but both agreed not to speak of it much after their move.

Random facts:
      -Kalin likes to paint the marks on their face, and frequently can be seen with different markings.
      -Their gender is ambiguous, and they dont sound too much like either gender, they also don't mind what pronouns are used as long as it's not said in harmful manners.
      -Kalin carries a white dagger with gold inset in the blade, the hilt and guard are also made of gold and it appears well cared for, though they never seem to use it for more than just a good-luck charm or a family heirloom.
      -They usually like to perch at high vantage points and watch people.
      -Kalin tends to be mistaken for much younger than they actually are due to their appearance.
      - They tend to keep their left eye hidden behind long bangs, they never say why.
      - They are good around children, and tend to be rather playful around them.
      - They have a tattoo covering their right shoulder, part of their arm and back.
