I hate love triangles. :[Anyway, I finished Mockingjay. HOLY SHIT. I have so many thoughts and feelings and emotions...but then, instead of a semi-intelligent review, I ended up drawing this.
I don't deserve to draw.

Well, I *am* glad that Peeta and Katniss ended up together.. I just didn't like how they did.. Like, suddenly he doesn't want to kill her! XD Maybe if we had a chapter or two from Peeta or Gales perspective..? Me no know...

yeah...what happened to all the highjacking business?! He was all phycho and then he was suddenly normal again xD I really think that the first person narrative of this book worked against it, as we only got Katniss' view on everyone/events, and while that worked great in the other 2 books it didn't work in MJ

I totally felt the same way when I read mockingjay. I had so many emotions, and after it was done I sat there thinking everything that happened. I couldn't sleep until I drew pictures for mockingjay.

I burned through the entire trilogy while I was sans-computer, and I wanted to punch Katniss most of the time. I mean, I'm stubborn, but damn. Either one was way too good for her. Gale and Peeta are perfect for eachother.

I just finished the book. I don't even know what to think.... it was just so... so.....
The only thing I know for sure is that I knew all along that she would end up with Peeta, and my reasoning was practically the same as hers once she realized there was never really a chance with Gale.
I cried so freaking hard when Finnick died. And then again when they mentioned that he and Annie had a child. It's just so tragice. Finnick and Annie were my favorite couple. They deserved a happier ending after everything they went through.
On a lighter note, I loled when I saw this XD it's hilarious. I hate love triangles too. They're so overused and just adds drama.

enough crazy talk. i actually thought the story was pretty good...... until the ending came. at first i hated the ending and wanted to throw the book away for the heck of it. but then i started seeing all the connections the ending made with the story, and now i think it was a REASONABLE ending. could have been better. (you're right, the ending gave me mixed emotions too.)

Well, thank you! I Peeta came out more or less how I imagined, but my Gale still doesn't feel quite right...ah, well.
Yeah, the ending...I dunno, I didn't absolutely abhor it, but I did have some issues with it and certain things definitely bugged me. I suppose it was supposed to felt abrupt and unsettling because that's how the end of war leaves you, but damn. Especially with the death of like nearly every character I liked...

the killing characters thing was totally unnecessary though. there is no need to kill handsome newlywed men that were about to have a child.

I totally agree love triangles just make there way into every good book don't they. They just make everything so much harder. Blech. But Mockingjay was a fabulous book. I thought the ending was not wrapped up enough and it took me a couple days to processed what happened. XD

I'm going to rant a bit here.
Okay, first of all. WTF. WHY would she kill SOO many essential characters?! Honestly, towards the end I gave up trying to keep track. I was like 'Okay, that puts us at about 58...but no, wait, that bomb just went, killing another 20 people. And then, the Peacekeepers showed up and killed some other people, and then GIANT MUTANT LIZARDS TORE OFF THE HEAD OF MY RECENTLY MARRIED FAVORITE CHARACTER, AND THEN HER FUGGIN SISTER BLOWS UP -rantrantrantrant-"
I cried a lot. And....she didn't tie it up enough. It was like, 'Well, I'll kill all the characters but Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and Haymitch, THEN, we'll drop her off in her ruined District, then she'll get married and have kids.' It's like, okay...what about the Hunger Games for the Capitol? Is she going to fix her town? What about her mom? Or all the other Districts that got blown up? Or the Capitol? It just...ugh. I'm very disappointed AND depressed.
