I hate love triangles. :[Anyway, I finished Mockingjay. HOLY SHIT. I have so many thoughts and feelings and emotions...but then, instead of a semi-intelligent review, I ended up drawing this.
I don't deserve to draw.

I just finished the book last night. What'd you think of it? D: I absolutely hated most of it. Finnick was probably the best thing about the book lmao. AND THEN GAHHHHHHH. WHY COLLINS, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I teared up so bad. ;A;

I just finished reading it, and this really cheered me up. The ending had me bummed out.

Also, I don't really like love triangles either. It leads to the TEAM (Name Here), TEAM (Other Guy's Name Here) thing. That annoys me.

I was kinda disappointed with the book >.< I hate saying it, since I loved the previous 2, but like nothing happened in the first half, and then the ending was so rushed and unsatisfying it left me in shock over how flat and rushed it was o.O. Katniss was different in this book...more vulnerable I guess, Gale was butchered...his character was literally torn apart and I was getting depressed reading his and Katniss' friendship crumple into nothingness -.- and then he fell off the face of the planet at the end. I mean, WTF?! You can't have a main character just vanish without explanation...it's wrong! and Peeta wasn't even contributing to the storyline until the last third of the book, and for most of that he was a raving loony, yet it's obvious from the beginning (to me anyway) that he is who Katniss would choose at the end, so why even bother having a love triangle -.-'
Also, Finnick...head ripped off by mutant lizards?! o.O Prim blown sky-high? why?? >.<

TOTALLY AGREE! Apart from the Gale comment, I was finding myself wanting Katniss to be with him.. It was SO rushed though! The way Peeta was SUDDENLY cured of his hatred towards Katniss "/ And Gale gave up too easily... I suppose he must have known Katniss loved Peeta all along, really. I was SOOOOO pissed about Finnick dying! HE WAS MY FAVOURITE! I think if the epilogue wasn't there, I actually would have hated the ending, but I couldn't ever hate it... Defo gunna write a fan-fiction, I'll probably re-write the WHOLE end of Part 3! XD

I totally agree with you, especially the Finnick part. He was so vital in the last two books, and then-- "Oh, hey, he got eaten by lizards. Oh well, I don't really care. Not like he saved Peeta's life or anything." Collins seemed to get kinda lazy toward the end... both with Peeta and Gale.

Yeah! I mean, you'd think Katniss would mourn over Finnicks death a little more... I don't even remember adding her to her 'list'! I really wanted her to go back to Annie and they could connect over their memories of Finnick, and then.. I don't know, maybe Gale could have comforted her or something and we find out that Annie slowly found herself trusting him... I don't know! At least that would have given both Gale and Annie a place, or a purpose! She was DEFINITELY lazy with it! Hmm, I suppose it leaves it open for more squeals.. n___n

Please do! It'll probs be better xD the thing about their deaths was how sudden they were. No build up, they just happened xD I was like: where's Finnick!? Then...oh...he got ripped to pieces...by LIZARDS =.=' The epilogue annoyed me; it had the Harry Potter 7 feel to it, with the kids and all. It was unnecessary to me :/ oh, I DID want Katniss to be with Gale

Well, I haven't read HP7 yet.. ONLY ON THE FOURTH! XD But, I don't know.. I still liked it.. I just was soooo annoyed about Finnick, and it just felt unfinished to me... I was surprised because the other two, and up until part three Suzanne Collins had finished everything so well!
