Description
"Do you have a strong constitution? My last group didn't."Day Twenty-Two
Here's an obscure one. Maxine was the 'host' of the first ReBoot IMAX ridefilm, and she showed up as a side character in "The Episode with No Name," cleaning up whatever⦠bodily fluids⦠remained on the vessel from her last bunch of passengers.
"If you feel the need to vomit, don't!"

She only showed up for a couple of scenes. Not a lot of people remember her. But I always thought she had a nice design.

LOVES IT! I really feel this character is under-appreciated. I would have loved to her more throughout the series. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN PAIRED WITH RAY! Think about it: stiff librarian type browser and the free-spirited Surfer. Loves it. More than free-spirited surfer with free-spirited hacker just BECAUSE. All good relationships need conflict.
Beautiful artwork. And I love her expression.

"How many times do I have to tell you, If you feel the need to vomit, don't."
Great line. Great scene.

Heh heh heh. My mom appreciated the barfing-passengers jokes on a level I could not. She does not do well on ridefilms, no.
The pre-ride film contains a little clue to the nature of search engines: when Maxine is introducing herself, first she says "I am Maxine," but then she says "we are Maxine" while her ship is being displayed. (The smaller one that is of similar design to her sprite form, not the passenger unit, that's just a trailer.)
"We are Maxine, and we know exactly where you want to go today."

Huh!
I never got to see the ridefilms, sadly.

The only ridefilm theatre I can think of in my area is the one in Metrotown that got demolished and didn't have either of the ReBoot movies anyway. (I knew about them at the time, but didn't see any point in pestering the people who ran the place.)

YESSS.
Streamlined silver and gold, her design was clearly showing off just what Mainframe was capable of at the time.
Too bad they did nothing substantial after Reboot, just Barbie movies ugh.

They did two Transformer series after ReBoot. Called Beast Wars and Beast Machines. They were very good.
