Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the monsters were victorious.
They sealed the humans underground with a magic spell.

And that's basically my AU.

"But EmPro! There's already AUs like that! This is boring and overused."

Wait. There's more.
Instead of just making all the monsters humanized and change Frisk into a skeleton and/or goat, I actually legitly switch it entirely around so that Frisk lives underground while Sans and Papyrus lives on top (along with all the other monsters).

"So this AU is going to be filled with all OCs??? That's like, totally lame."

Well yes... And no.
For the main monster characters (such as Undyne, Alphys, Grillby, etc) get this: I will be replacing them with... The 6 fallen humans.
*mind blown sounds*
But of course that means creating names, personalities, families, and back stories for each fallen character. But they would have already existed. So are the OCs? Well... Not really?
But as for everyone else, like the Nice Cream Guy and stuff, I'll either have to cut them, replace them with OCs or people from real actual life, or just make human versions of them. But honestly, they're not that important.

"So who will be replacing who?"

Muffet: Kindess
Grillby and Grillby's: Kindness's family and restaurant
Undyne: Justice
Monster Kid: Bravery
Alphys: Perseverance

And that's pretty much it. :/

"But where the heck is Virtue and Patience???"

Yeah... I haven't figured them out yet. I'll get to them eventually though. I promise.

"Flowey? Chara? Sans? Papyrus?"

Flowey will remain Flowey. Chara will be replaced with (can't tell you, it's a surprise), and Sans and Papyrus? Well... Heh heh.
They're going to be replaced with Frisk and Chara.

But there's one thing you have not learned yet. One thing that makes this AU totally awesome and not some random, OC-filled AU. And it's the answer to this question:

"Who will be traveling through the Underground in replacement of Frisk?"

And the answer is Sans and Papyrus.
Yes my good readers. It is Sans and Papyrus who will travel the Underground together in hopes of returning to the surface. It is Sans and Papyrus who will be hunted down for their magic in order to break the barrier. It is Sans and Papyrus who has the options of Genocide or Pacific.

So in a nutshell, my AU is that humans (actual cannon humans) we forced underground and monsters stayed above. Sans and Papyrus fell down, met Frisk and Chara, and then go on an adventure to return to the surface. All secondary monster characters has been replaced with the 6 Fallen Humans from the cannon game. The humans are trying to capture Papyrus and Sans to break the barrier. Does this sound interesting to you? Is it something you would like to see?

There's still a lot about this AU I still have not figured out. For example, 50% of the Fallen Human's designs and names, how to do the Genocide Route, the name for this. But hey! I'm planning to do Pacific Route for my comics first anyway. Plenty of time for me to prepare.

So what would do you think this AU should be called? I'm teetering between UnderSouls and HumanTale, but (please!) give me more suggestions! And if you think this AU will be interesting and would like to see more of it, please comment to let me know.

EDIT: OHMYGOSH I JUST THOUGHT OF THE PERFECT NAME WHAT ABOUT UNDERHUMANS AU THERE'S LIKE ONLY ONE POST ON IT IN THE ENTIRE INTERNET AND I CAN'T EVEN FIND IT AND IT FITS THIS AU WAY BETTER THAN UNDERSOULS I'M PROBABLY GOING TO DO THAT NAME ANYWAY BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?
