The font is Curlz. I used Photoshop to apply one of the distortion filters (I forget which one) and then smoothed it out with brush and eraser.

Oh, how I wish Ruby gloom aired in America. I watched it whenever I visited my grandparents in Canada. There is a distinct lack of shows that are on the par of Ruby Gloom.

Ruby looks so carefree and playful here even as she's a gracious hostess. It's that way she's sitting forward on the edge of her chair, swinging her legs back and forth — or trying hard not to. She's casual but always polite, and her timing is impeccable as her guest shows up to find the still steaming cup of tea waiting. The furniture is elegant in its simplicity and fits perfectly in Gloom Manor's decor. The tea set looks a bit exotic and stylish.
Actually, if I look a the service I start to think that the sugar bowl is "the mother" with her hands on her hips; the taller creamer is the father, and the cups are the "girls" with white trim around their collars instead of the beige of "mom and dad."
It's all very delightful, making Ruby seem not only adorable but also very conscientious and caring.
