I RP as Gaster all the time on Shamchat. It's made me fall in love with his character.My headcanon for Gaster is that he has Sans' puns, and likes pasta like Papyrus. If someone kills his sons, he's not too upset since he's seen it over and over again. Since he can't alter the timeline too much, he only steps in when it's about to collapse or if one of his sons needs advice. He has a bit of a grudge against Alphys for taking his job, making the amalgamates and isn't impressed by Mettaton. Gaster likes messing with Flowey and Chara because he knows that they can't really kill him. Gaster has the power to disable resets, loads and saves as well as erase others from existence just like he was. He would only erase Genocide!Frisk and Chara though.
I also have started RPing as Pre incident Gaster, and he has turned into a little adorkable introvert.
