There are about 9 major category/concepts that my project will be focusing on, and the first one is S3. This is based on the whole cliche x-men, avengers, something-"academy", blah blah collective superheroes group.

S3 stands for "Secret Superhuman Society", and they are worded so cheesily this way because "S" and "3" ended up visually pairing so well, hence their logos. Don't it look badass
I have been twaddling my fingers about this for a while because, 1. What is their context and purpose in the story?, 2. How to broaden diversity?

The concept started when Kai was still the "ninja" assassin character thing, and he was part of an assassin group named "Exikil" (name originated from "extra killing" lmao). This name sounded so freaking lame I tried to come up with a new one. About 3 years ago, my sister was working on a project involving intelligent, human interactive components, and something like "Intelligent interactive i..." and I jokingly suggested that the logo should be I^3 or something. Then I thought, "superhuman society" both have "s" characters, what else has "s"? So I added "secret".

Now, with the new name "S3" which I was totally excited about, I had to develop on their purpose. As "superheroes", I just branched it like how x-men and avengers did. Superheroes doing superhero works, following certain principles, fighting antagonists, etc.

However, this setting of universe did not really match with my anticipated plot, so I had to drop this Marvel comic scent. So no, they aren't exactly people flying in the sky or shooting flames out of their finger tips.

So the concept that S3 explores is the meaning behind "supernatural" and to what extent a human being can be "super" besides being physically different.What else can be super? Their purpose, spirit, sentience, perhaps their underlying psyche, their legacy. Kind of like, to what extent can a human being be when "unlocked"? Granted, each members of S3 are not exactly "normal" but they are not that far from regular people.

In the end this group ended up taking more role in my story than some background fantasy concept. To conserve the story line, I won't be going into too much detail of what S3 does and who each members are. Kai is one of them obviously, now you finally know who he may be working for!

This is a rather sudden introduction to a lot of new characters, but I've been nursing their concept for a long time. However, some are still WIP. I don't even have visual aspects of them yet lol.
From left to right:
1. Shirley; I do not have his physical design yet, so I just drew him by his signature wears. He is not a ghost lol
2. Ike; This guy Ike-sketch . His design, purpose and characteristics changed a lot. I am actually very impatient about introducing him, but he's still mostly a concept, not to mention a complicated one. While he's only been under construction for less than a year, he's one of my prouder development.
3. "BeeTwin" I'll call them that for now. Doctor characters. Still semi conceptual.
4. "Boss". Kai's boss and well, everybody else's. Her first half-assed concept started off with this random doodle Pirate girl
5. Kai himself
6. Greed; This guy is old!!!!! He used to be drawn with Kai as his comical buddy. Sleep till it opens , Greed ever gets even and other animations he first came out in. Oh yes, he was also the origin of the "techno babiez". He actually got brought back in a serious setting. I have not yet drawn him that actively.
7. Black Rabbit, dis guy Comfortable pose Yes now it looks more like a beast than a person. Also, this character was the only character that I revealed the logo "S3" on.
8. Garin - Another character developed in the hidden background. She first came off as some minor, side female character with the "assistant" role (typical of some female characters), and while she has a huge purpose in the story as well, and I am intending to just keep her at that impression of "that secretary like lady".
9. ??? he actually has a name, but not appropriate to reveal it at the moment.

This is so far all the characters I have for this particular group. There might be more...but I do not foresee this group expanding in the future. They are relatively complete.
