My family has a lot of land, so they aren't that hard to deal with. It's just during mating season they are hard to feed because they are cranky, and getting the babies from them is a freaking miracle, but it is worth it, the babies are so much fun to play with! They are quite warm and cuddly.

I think the stripes are one of the best things about them! But my favorite part about baby emus is that if you whistle to them, they almost always whistle/chirp back. It's like having a conversation!
