Yeah she was a good role model, mostly to all kind of tomboy girls I think, since she wasn't all cutey/pink/full of energy and happiness like Starfire (who isn't a bad character, just not as good as Raven). Too bad original TT is over and all what's left is this new remake, which tbh I don't really like. ;_;

I have a lot of problems with the remake. Mostly because they destroyed all that character development. I used to force myself to watch it, just to see if there would ever be any plot, but I stopped after a few episodes because it was really sexist and just all around horrible. It saddens me that kids nowadays will grow up with that instead of the original. I mean, the original taught so many good messages about accepting yourself and how you can lean on your friends when you really need them and all that good stuff, then the remake just tore all of that away.
One of the reasons I loved Raven in the original was that she was a tomboy, yet there was no doubt that she was definitely a girl and very pretty. She showed that you didn't have to be super girly to be a girl, that it was okay to be dark and gloomy at times, but that didn't mean you weren't loved. And Starfire was important too because she showed that you can be super girly yet still be powerful and smart. Because Starfire was VERY smart, there was just a lot of stuff lost in translation.

Yeah, the remake feels more like a comedy show shorts that actual cartoon with a message. You just said all the things I think about those two.
