My girlfriend is from Texas and she has told me about all the crazy weather that's been going on. Like one minute it's freezing, then the next it's sunny. But that's kinda the same where I live too. We have two season; Summer and fall. In Northern Cali it only rains during the winter, but when summer rolls around, everything blooms and it's amazing.

yeah texas is weird in terms of weather xD I grew up with horrendous storms in summer and late spring, the winds would get so bad our tornado sirens would go off, though there were no tornados. plus the lightning would strike the transformers and our power would go out over night.

I grew up in Missouri and Wisconsin for most of my childhood, and while in Wisconsin the winter was HELL and in Missouri the tornadoes and ice was hell. But the springs and summer nights were worth it. I have so many fond memories of running around outside after the sun had sat, because all the fireflies where out and the weather was cool enough to play.

I've never seen fireflies, myself. I see photos and vids on the net though. but I've seen roadrunners~ and bobcats! skunks too! I have a few nice memories of childhood here in my city xD

yeah we were gonna let em out after a bit. we just wanted to see how many we could catch. the adults were all VERY furious because if they'd gotten loose, at least five of them could have killed any one of us xD

I used to light strands of hair on fire in an old shed.
I also liked to light matches and let them burn before dropping them into water while doing dishes(was 14)
nearly burned our current house down four times before I was banned from matches and lighters xD

I can relate to the match thing. I used to play with matches a lot too. Then I started getting lighters and now I just flick them constantly and watch the initial sparks. It's surprisingly calming.
