Hephaestus, the Greek god of blacksmiths and industry, said to be the ugly offspring of Hera created to spite Zeus. Though a god, he doesnt live on Mt. Olympus with all the other gods, but below it where he creates the deadly lightening bolts that Zeus carries. He is married to Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, the most beautiful goddess of them all.

Rough sketch - obviously things wrong like the back of her head and down near her bum. I created this to continue the Grecian series I have seemed to have started. And obviously, I have yet again changed the god's sex. This is because a.) I'm curious to see how I can remake them into their counterparts, and b.) I can't draw men for shit. I drew her from behind because I didn't want to draw her being ugly. Who's to say Hephaestus was really ugly after all? And it'd be a shame to draw such a strong woman with deformities, thus we see her from behind.

I'd like to thank my horse legs for being the models for this pic. I think it's the only time in my life I'm thankful I've got man calves like I do - it really helped.
