character looking solemnly to the left side? check.
angsty quote to tie it all together and make it seem meaningful? yeah sure.
this was mostly an excuse to do some lighting/shading practice i suppose. and zeryl needed some art. i actually kinda like this.
this may have also been intended to resemble a fake screenshot but then i tripped over the tablet.

I like how the anatomy was viewable by the shading, what i have noticed though is yoy made the mouth a little... Flat... But the area around it shows a more textured muzzle. The chin is quite flat and the face is really... Ovally. Also your shading does not follow the natural flow of the fur. I would have probably liked is more if atleast the different colors transfered nicer, but i cant really say i appreciate this as much as some others might... Very nice anatomy though! For shading, all i can suggest is if you can't follow the fur layout properly, just use flat shading and blur it in, same with color transfering.

It is an amazing piece.
Vision: It is wonderful, earning it a full five stars. Just everything about the vision is amazing.
Originality: I've seen quite a lot like this, so it got three and a half stars.
Technique: The technique is nice, earning it four stars.
Impact: Not a real big impact. It's really a nice drawing, but doesn't change much. Sorry for the three stars.
Overall rating: It's quite nice, but could be a bit better. I do like how Zeryl is posed and the reflection of the sky in her eyes. Surely it's another enjoyable piece, HailsynVulpes.

Firs of all, I was automatically REALLY impressed by the shading! (Impressed to the point in which I actually had an audible reaction.) The shading is so smooth and it gives such a perfect soft texture, as well as it tracing the anatomy quite well. The only things I can really complain about is that the head seems a bit too round at the bottom, and I think the nose is a smidge too far to the right. That's about it, though. Otherwise, I love everything else, and it looks nice and soft and smooth. She looks so very pettable. :3

Wow, this is one of my fav pics from you, it's so detailed. ^^
Anyway, for vision...the lineart looks very thing and makes the picture look a bit lineless in some parts of it, which looks quite unique to me. The shading is spot on, the coloring looks quite amazing and flows, and the textures in this goes very well with the shading.
For originality, I think Zeryl is a quite unique character with a really unique design. These kinds of pics I've seen before, but yours has a ton of detail added to it. I also like how amazing her eyes are in this.
For technique, you used a lot of different techniques in this...I think your best points in this are the coloring, shading, and the textures. This gives you a realistic yet cartoony feel to the picture overall.
Last but not least, for impact...I think the picture looks quite special like Zeryl is trying to think about what's on her mind and she is remembering the past...the good old times...
Anyway, overall the pic is just flawless...epic job Hail ^^
