I did not intend to update deviantart before the fav note thing had changed... but I received a letter this morning on how unfair I'm being... so I guess here I am, in spite of everything.As for this picture - her hand is screwed up, I know... I just don't have the time to fix it right now.
There is a little bit of writing to go with it, as with most my pictures:

Surrender.
pale like the first snow.
cold as the tempting, tentative touch,
of the shivering frost.
dim like the early morning -
smooth, and sugary,
like the lingering taste of chocolate.
warm, as only a spring morning can be,
delicate like a child's fingers.
surrender.
surrender me.
cool like the blade of a dagger.

i love the details of the dress, i think that's hands down the best part of this painting. the poses are a bit too stiff and emotionless to really give me any sort of feeling. also, the man's leg is very unnaturally curved

Anyway, I have to make a favourite of this one because of the exquisite detail of the clothing.
It's also interesting that both the woman AND the man have knives... devilish little backstabbers, eh?

i get a temptation feeling from this work. i really do enjoy this picture. it captures the mood without a doubt, it seems to be in the renaissance era, but maybe i'm wrong. renaissance is my favorite era. keep with your devine artistry

@the_work: very beautiful .. lovely atmosphere, I wonder who will strike first though; on the sideway I do think there's something 'wrong' with the girl.
like compared to familiar paintings where they use those clothes, you see that most ladies are wearing corsets .. actually just to pump up their breasts .. so this girl has really really tiny breasts (so the corset has minimum to no effect) or it's something you perhaps overlooked ?

I like the Victorian feel of it, enayla. The birds in the background add movement, the expressions are great, and so are the poses. This picture really tells a story of a thousand words. Also, nice artwork as usual.

Oh, beautiful. I wish I could say something witty or helpful, but I can't. It reminds me of the Regency Era of England (I'm not certain if that's the exact period you were going for, or if it was even an attempt at English fashion, but that's what it reminds me of.)

All I can muster to say is, wow, this is absolutely amazing. The detail blew me away. You're incredibly talented. I wish I could only have half of that! But then... I saw the blades. Another blow. Again, may I say your work in incredible? Too late. Yet another amazing piece of work. +fav.

That's pretty incredible, as always. If you ever need an idea, I think that a scene with a noble knight in armor gazing at a magically beautiful faerie (those ones you make so wonderfully) would be beyond awesomeness.
