Description my finished papercraft AT-ST scout walker. i thought these things were the coolest thing ever when i saw return of the Jedi, when i was a kid. construction took about the time it took me to watch season two of star trek DS9(you do the math lol) overall good build and little extra was needed. the only thing i did add was a nickle and three penny's to each foot. at least i know that its worth at least 16 cents.with the added weight he will stand all on his own. i tried to use a light blue marker on some parts, but it bleed too much so i went with my old stand by, black. in the end i didn't use dowels for the canons and rolled the paper(witch i hate!). i felt that if i had cheated i would never let myself live with it. i didn't glue the head , so he will look in different directions. gotta thank [link] for the awesome template.

YES. I'm building an army of these. I'll get iPhoness for their brains tiny servos for the legs, and 50mw lasers in their chins.

thanks, i wanted to do all the seams in grey but the i couldn't find a marker that wouldn't bleed. if you look close alf of its in gray and the other half is black. if i ever find gray markers that don't bleed i redo this one.

i think its pretty common.as artists we can spot all the mistakes we made, but most people will never notice them.

I had to build a whole suit of armour for a play.
It wasn't very easy. Took me FOREVER!

That's good, I might try my hand at it just to keep them busy
I haven't done papercraft in a while, that suit of armour really took it out of me

This is really cool! It's great that you got it to stand, it looks rather complicated and must have taken a lot of work!

enc86 In reply to IWillNotANIKI [2012-03-19 01:32:47 +0000 UTC]

thanks and yea it was a bit of work. as for the standing part, i glued change in the feet( about 16 us cents) with the change in the feet i cant even knock it over
