Description
With the success of the type Odin tank, the UC decided to manufacture anther battle tank to aid in the cleansing of the wasteland. Named after and imbued with an old world gods power, the Type Thor was built with a desire to purge the wasteland and have superiority over anyone or anything to try to stand in its way. The MjΓΆlnir 240mm cannon fires a magnetically propelled round that is sure to decimate any resistance. With a mounted Vulcan cannon and Ragnarok missile system there is a slim chance anyone that sees the Thor will survive to tell the tale. Supplemented with upgraded armor, tracking/sight systems, radome, air conditioning and smoke launchers. The Thor's thunderous presence will make any scum shake in disbelief before being vaporized.
Here is my finished 1/35 kitbash "type Thor" commissioned by build up from a trumpeter challenger 2, featuring kitbashed, scratch build and resin details. He really liked my "type Odin" tank and pretty much only wanted it to have a similar cannon and colors of his choosing. I proceeded to go hog wild on this beast and really had a blast building and painting it. The colors scheme is different than anything I have attempted but by the end I really loved the look, and will probably have to use it again for a project of my own. Overall I am really happy with how this came out and will miss it sitting in my display when I ship it out to him.
As always questions, comments and suggestions welcome.

Thanks a tonnage dude!
well to start off i really do add real scraches, pits ect into the plasic with my hobby knife and mini file(not the most realistic but looks cool!) after the base paint, i dab a scratchy sponge in pant, dab on blotter and then onto the model for the chipping effect. next some dry brushing metal color for worn areas(i like a darker metal tone, called "jet exhaust". then a few different brown washes.
the lower hull has some gunk and mud, which is a acrylic resin mixed with real dirt, war gaming flock, plaster and pigments.

Mass Driver or Rail Gun?
And I just proved my geek cred by asking that question.

hahah you did a little bit!
this and the Odin's cannons are based around gauss tec, the wires entering the barrel being parts of the charging coils.

thanks friend!Β i really like how the color scheme looks once it got weathered. i had never worked with this color scheme( i never do sand colored projects) i was a bit hesitant but really like how it all came toghter. ill have to do a project in this kinda scheme for myself.

Yeah, it turned out awesome. Tan is definitely a great earth based color and looks great on a desert themed tank. How did you get the damaged paint look for the tan paint? It gives it a realistic, worn out look, really cool.

thanks again, really happy i could accomplish this for him.
few different but pretty simple techniques. first off is a bit of scratchy sponge paint dabbing(dark panzer, the chipping effect) then a bit of dry brushing with a metal color(jet exhaust) then a couple brown washes.
the mud/crud on the lower hull is a mixture of acrylic resin, dirt, pigments and plaster. all sealed in with a flat clear coat.
