Someone said vulnerable, but that isn't what I'm seeing. To understand the feeling of the foto you have to understand what the model is feeling. I think she's just taking a break, getting her composure to restart a long and painful, very gruelling and frustrating fight. Taking that 2 seconds to steal away from everything behind her hands and behind her hair, so the mind can shut up for a moment and come back with more resilience.
This photo has inspired me to create a series of my own reflecting these feelings

it isn't about fear or hiding, vulnerbility or suffering it's about constant vigilance, determination, committment and the deepest strength known to the universe to invoke the strength of recovery (from anything). That is what I am feeling radiating from this shot, or the message that it has conveyed to me
