I am with a flat lcd monitor and when i see the image from 90 degrees the background is totally dark. only the smoke and the person are visible. so yes everything is okay. and I love this one ^^

This photo is mindblowing...I keep on coming back to it again and again. One of the best photos I've ever seen on this site. However I do have to say I preferred the previous version, it was richer for me.

Unfortunately, this is not a revisation, at least not in my eyes nor in my easthetic intention, this is the "original"

Yeah, but there is a big difference between "a bit" and "all the frigging wall!!!!"
I swear I almost had a heart attack when I saw how it looked on other computers

LOL I'm sorry! Get a new monitor. β₯

encefalocardia In reply to AnaNaszynska [2007-07-08 23:04:12 +0000 UTC]
Its not the monitor. I have been using a color profile for printing media. Those profiles are not used in the rest of the monitors so I just removed but eventually I will need to add it again.

This is what I feared.
First impressions are always what matters the most. I think I noticed this too late.

Hmm, well, you could always have both versions up, or at least one of them as a scrap.

I never liked the idea of having a lot of versions of the same thing. In my opinion that its lack of vision about your own work. Its an obvious effort to please everyone. Of course, again, that its my opinon.

Machicodi In reply to encefalocardia [2007-07-08 22:42:06 +0000 UTC]
In this particular case, I actually do agree. I think it's ok to do different versions of a piece as long as it is for your own sake because you have a new idea etc. But since your first version didn't look the way you had envisioned it to (on other monitors that is) I guess it is to be looked as a "mistake" which of course doesn't represent you as an artist.
(I hope that made sense.)
