the lyrics are from wine red by The hush soundSyringa is of a species of beings that needs the form of a species native to the universe they travel to to survive .some,including Syringa, also require permission to take the form of another not unlike a vampire needing to be invited in or fae when they ask for your name.
normally members of his species will ask for, manipulate, or con their "donors" into granting permission via a mind link in the comfort of their home world to ensure safety, but Syringa was accidentally transported to ampersands universe while their prince was to go out on a little exploration there. of course having had no time to prepare for the accidental trip he didn't have a suitable body for the world and his time to get one was very limited. unluckily for him he seemed to be transported to the middle of the woods with no clear signs of civilization, luckily for him a young ampersand with no qualms with shady dealings was nearby and more than happy to allow a Shape-shifting blob to share his form in exchange for undying loyalty. after all ampersand had the upper hand in this dealing.
Syringa wouldn't grow to regret this ,infact he considers it the best decision of his life, his life as ampersands secret doppelgänger and stand in is relatively easy, and he's actually quite pampered . Syringa loves the world he was thrusted into and his loyalty willingly sides with ampersand
