You've played some rpgs and mmorpgs, right? I'm developing an rpg scenario, would you mind to take a look on the material I posted? I would like to know your opinion, what you think won't work and all...

Personally i can tell you this: those are nice designs but then again another fantasy game. There are many of them on the market and you might have problems with distributing yours. I understand it is not easy to find something new, but going same route as everyone else won't keep people by you. 2. Problem: it seems that game is binded on AT ( exactly 5 of them from what i can see), honestly reason i never really stayed long in game is because with the time it gets boring to play same toon so you make new one. If game has very limited power and AT choice you can tell when person gonna leave the game. Game that i am currently playing for 2 years already has 12 ATs each of them have choice for about 5-8 primaries and about same amount of secondaries. I am not voice of every player but whart you should consider for game is varierity of players. There arwe few types: 1. RPers (rolle players) they like cat girls, elves and all this bs. All you need to make this ppl happy is bunch of costume choices and maybe some game content. 2. Task Forces/Missions/Quests runners/ Badge hunters. Those people are interested in getting the best numbers for certain feature in game. You can make those happy by adding many many hidden places, missions, quests etc = game content. 3. PvPer (myself including): those are usually most annoying player, not majority but they usually know the game mechanics better than anyone. All they usually want is rich pvp enviroment. They want to be able to duel or just take part on massive pvp like wars etc. As long as you keep battle mechanics balanced, power varierity and give certain rewards that can be gained only in pvp you can make those ppl happy. Surely they are also interested in game content but rather in a way like: nation 1 attacks nation 2 wanna take part on a war? or catch the flag scenario etc etc.
Other thing you should be aware of: too much walking isn't good. If you have to walk 1000 miles just to get some white flower and run anotehr 1000 miles back just to get told to run ANOTHER 2000 miles for another blue flower i can assure you ppl will be pissed off. The game i am playing atm has pro in this case, each toon can get travel powers like super speed, fly, teleport, super jump etc. what keeps traveling quite untroublesome. So if you are not planning on travel powers you gotta see that you keep important points like shops, towns etc relative close and reachable or offer shortcuts (like hell i know some portal or w/e).
Artwise i would suggest you to add some steampunk or tech elemnts in your designs to keep it not 100% fantasy like most games on market atm. Trust me it gets very old for gamers with the time..<_<
Hope i could help ya

Wow Thanks! Your critic is really helpfull! I'm not sure if I understood what you meant by AT. And right now the intention is to develop a traditional rpg material, but if someone get's interested in converting into mmorpg I would get really happy XD.
About races and jobs, We're starting with 6 basic playable races (still gotta post humans), but counting on the possibility of expanding (the overall world history have intentional gaps and hooks for the ones we intend to make in the future). Each basic race have around 10-15 job possibilities (some have more, other have less), in a total of 25 jobs, being few exclusive for especific races. We intend to develop a job system that considers multiclass combinations, including keeping primary classes and secondary class skills.
We're starting to develop organizations and political affairs that may lead to the game content you spoke, as well as wars between players.
The scenario also is getting closer to a second great war against "the fey", wich would ultimately lead to the development of new technologies and the discovery of old ones. Some races (like the furqans) will have more influence of those while others (specially the deeriens and their ancient traditions) will refine their own original skills.
Thanks again for your comment! It is really helpfull, specially to settle some priorities in the development.

I guess that superhero mmorpg (forgot the naaaaameeeeee) uses archetypes. And Granado Espada is all based on classes, as there are only humans.

Well AT, classes, races, jobs etc. in a way have same princip. Either you are range based toon, controlling, or tanking one, there are sub categories but surely in each game it is about the same.

There are also healers and supporters, multi-functional... etc. While developing the races, they were made to be perfect to one of those roles, but also be good enought with the other jobs they have. You mentioned a game that you've been playing for a long while that had dozens of templates, would you mind telling me wich one is that?
